More Valentine's Pictures
More Valentine's Day pictures. . .
Brady's loot. |
Notice the nice space between Brady's teeth? His front tooth is getting loose and keeps moving closer to the adjoining front tooth. Maybe this one will fall out without help? |
She loves this baby doll:) |
3 of the kids together, one day I will manage to get them all together:) |
Alexa is getting so fun now that she doesn't scream all day and night. She is noticing her hands now and putting them in her mouth all the time. We are all having fun watching her do new things. |

Happy Valentine's Day!
The kids were super excited for Valentine's Day! We made their boxes thanks to Google and Pinterest searches for some ideas. Brady (for that matter I think most kids these days) LOVE angry birds. He got Red for Christmas, so after I saw red on some images I thought we would try and make a "box" out of it. It turned out better then I thought it might, and he was so excited he took it to school the day before Valentine's (the earliest day his teacher would let them bring their boxes).
We had another large cylinders so I thought I would look for a "box" we could make out of it for Lauren too. I saw a super cute owl on Pinterest and thought it would be fun to make. Lauren helped cut and glue, and the results were pretty cute:) It will be fun to see their Valentine's and hear all about their class parties. They were so excited they had a hard time falling asleep. We haven't made our yearly tradition of sugar cookies, and I am still debating. . . I LOVE sugar cookies (really most cookies for that matter) and I am trying to lose my baby weight still, so I don't really want a bunch of cookies sitting around, plus they already got to decorate some at Grandma Jenny's house last week.

Courtney and Alexa
Courtney is so cute sometimes! She is the best little helper for the
most part always getting diapers and anything else I will let her get. She only has the occasional jealousy (like a small kick to the
head last week and "she's bugging me" reference to Alexa once). Plus she thinks its pretty neat to wear a diaper at night (samples Jenny gave us - really not much difference then her nightly pull up, but I think she likes to be the baby still every once in a while). She likes to be the baby when she plays 'mom and dad' (as she calls it) and even makes excuses as to why she can't go to Sunbeams on Sunday's ("I'm too little" - as she crawls or does baby talk, or other random things to act like a baby). I thought it was a pretty funny but smart to think of an excuse. Too funny! I think she is warming up to the whole idea of Sunbeams though. Well she asked me
if she could hold Alexa and then asked me to take a picture so of course I obliged. . . only a few times:)
Lost count of the number of kisses. She loves this little lady:) |

Snow Mountain
It keeps snowing. . .and snowing. . .and snowing! It will take F-O-R-E-V-E-R for the snow to melt in our backyard since it gets tons of shade from our neighbors large tree and all the surrounding garages. You can still walk straight out from our porch to the snow which is kind of convenient for the kids I'd have to admit. I decided it was such a beautiful snow day that we needed to play outside again. We were going to try and build a fort but I couldn't find our large bucket in the garage, then I thought it would be fun to make a hill (or snow mountain as Brady called it:) It was fun to do and the kids helped pack in the snow and get a couple pitchers of water from inside to help ice it up. We tried garbage bags to slide on first which worked pretty good but were hard for them to sit or lay on without help. Then Brady thought of the slip-n-slide mats we have and the rest is history! Thankfully we spent a couple hours and not the 15-30 min they sometime spend after the 5-10 min getting all geared up. They had a blast so we had to capture it on camera. What a gorgeous day! Hopefully the inversion will stay away for at least a couple days anyways. We'll have to see how the 'snow mountain' holds up:)
